PRINCIPALLY SPEAKING

Dear Coyote Families,

We had such an awesome March Community Time! Thank you PTA for organizing the Cal Straw Hat Band to join us.

Wednesday evening we had a public Community Cornell Facilities Meeting with HKIT Architects and heard about different options to re-imagine what a modernized Cornell could look like. If you missed that presentation, HERE are the options.  You can provide feedback online. Stay tuned for the updated website to do this.

Remember that tomorrow is a staff PD Day, so there is no school for students. Next Friday, 3/27, please join me for Coffee with Cat! We are also looking forward to seeing students at the  “Cornell’s Got Talent” show at the OceanView Elementary School MPR, on Saturday, March 28.

Have a wonderful weekend!
In community,

CORNELL LIBRARY CORNER

Weekly Library Spotlight

This week’s content:

We jumped into a 2-part session about how the Dewey Decimal System works and helps us find information by topic. Learning about this will empower our readers to find books that interest them in any school and public library.

We also enjoyed some entertaining read alouds to foster joy!

Ms. Kate, Cornell’s Teacher Librarian, is reachable anytime at kbowman@ausdk12.org to respond to any questions, needs, or requests.

PTA NEWS

Cornell's Got Talent: March 28!

Cornell’s Got Talent is just around the corner! We have an amazing lineup of incredibly talented kids this year—come join us to cheer them on and celebrate our wonderful performers. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome!

Our planning committee is made up entirely of parent volunteers who have worked hard behind the scenes to prepare for this event. Now we need your support on the day of the show to make it a success!

If you have even 30 minutes to spare, please sign up to help by filling out the Google Sheet. Every bit of help makes a difference.

Thank you so much—we can’t wait to see you there! 🎉
