Air Quality School Adjustments and Monitoring/ Ajustes y monitoreo de la calidad del aire en las escuelas / 学校空气质量调整和监测
Dear AUSD Families,
I want to assure you that we are monitoring air quality levels and making adjustments accordingly. AUSD follows the health guidelines supported by the Alameda County Office of Education guided by the Air Quality Index. To be protective of our students' health, when in the Orange level, we will provide an indoor option for students for recess. Also, PE classes will be conducted indoors. Coaches will be communicating with student athletes about contingency plans. If the air quality index provided by AirNow.gov moves to the red, then AUSD will not allow any outdoor activities.
