SPEAK UP BE SAFE Parent Education Night for AUSD Elementary Parents: Tuesday, January 21, 5-6pm at AMS Library
AUSD implements the Speak Up Be Safe curriculum created by the Childhelp organization. Childhelp Speak Up Be Safe is a researched-based, comprehensive child abuse and bullying prevention education curriculum equipping students nationwide with skills they need to play a significant role in the prevention or interruption of abuse and bullying. Childhelp Speak Up Be Safe covers topics such as physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, bullying and cyber bullying, all at an age-appropriate level. In the coming weeks, all AUSD elementary students in grades 1- 5 will be receiving their grade level’s Speak Up Be Safe lesson in a two-part series. For more information on the curriculum and its implementation, please join us at the Parent Education Night. We encourage all parents to attend this informative evening if you have questions about the program
